Imagine Bisping winning this belt. Who's the next to fight for the Middleweight belt? Chris Weidman of course, nobody wants to see Rockhold x Bisping III. Then Weidman wins, who's next? Probably Rockhold, and next is Yoel Romero, the guy who fought dirty against Jacare, used roids, grabed in the fences and won by a controversial decision.
And I'm being optimistic. Imagine if the champion gets injured... the title fight will be postponed, at best the contenders will fight for interim belt. Sad. This was THE oportunity for Jacare, unfortunately he's injured.

He had a full camp for UFC 198 and didn't get hurt in the fight. I know he's injured (he had before fighting Belfort), but this was a good opportunity, he was the first option before Bisping.

If Bisping wins, and that's a big if, what makes you think that they'll give Weidman the shot over Romero? Who should be done with his suspension by then. Whether Romero wins or not, they'll probably give Souza the next shot unless someone beats him or someone builds a streak with top wins. Either way, he'll probably have gotten a win or two by then.
