why are you even asking which series of those two to get??? They are not even related in terms of thier instruction...in no way can you compare a Gi instructional to a No Gi instructional. Which is what that comparison is....Now if you want to compare Jacare against the Garcia GI instructional, that's a different topic.

Well, i was one of the first people to have the Jacare, and there was a lot of hype leading up to it. That being said, it's only 2 dvd's. Nothing on there is completely revolutionary. Quite frankly I though it was a bit of a rip off for $100 and I believe they will be asking for $149 soon. Once again bjjtapes took advantage of the hype of jacare and is overcharging. I will be doing a review of this soon. Overall it is a good dvd, but not worth the price and not that long. IMO, the best gi series so far has been the Saulo, the best no gi is the Marcelo Garcia. While the Jacare is a good set, the latter two are must have's. Any other question's, PM me.

You're very welcome pal. Saulo's no gi is very good but I would say not as good as the Marcelo. It offers more basic's and fundemenatals though, so new grapplers may find it more usefull.

Why is Marcelo's better than Saulo's NoGi tapes???? I have Saulo's and am getting Marcelo's shortly, but i'm just curious why you think that. The one thing i did notice from some of the preview clips on the marcelo series is that they have a new narrator. The last guy was terrible and it made watching his first series extremely slow and boring. The format flow is a bit quicker this time from what i can see and the narration is a bit crisper. One thing that is chronically annoying about the marcelo series is his CONSTANT use of the phrase "OK guys" just before each segment.

    all brazilians say that....

    they either say "OK guys"
    or "My friend"
