Izzy was 200lbs vs Jan.
Pereira was probably 225/230lbs last night.

he would concede too much weight and in his head, he had the last word vs Alex.

You haven't seen the super gyno post usada Izzy yet

If he’s not coming back for a couple of years then he’d have plenty of time to put weight on sensibly, building muscle slowly and training to fight at the higher weight. But most likely he won’t because, as you say, he’ll feel he’s done with Alex and he won the rivalry.

“2027,” said Adesanya when asked if fight fans will see him compete next year. “2027. Look for the return. I’ll see you then.”

Taking the Jon Jones route, expect him to come back swole via Guru Jon Jones's tried and proven rebuild yourself method.

Alex might actually kill Izzy in LHW.

I bet being a headliner for UFC 300 is pretty tempting and a chance at a 2nd belt against the last guy he beat. If he's truly in a bad mental place he probably shouldn't do it, but had he not lost to Strickland so bad he could really step up and save the 300 card and give both guys paydays.

It's not even an interesting fight. Nobody thinks Izzy can beat Pereira at 205. It just comes across as Pereira looking for an easy fight.

Lol...Izzy is scared of him at 185 why would he move up when he's not weak from a weight cut hahaha

It could be why he is taking time off. He's a big guy, getting older. He might think the 185 cut is too much and blamed that for the Strickland performance. Taking time to put weight on and jump to 205 the right way.
