Just heard about this. His ex girlfriend is suing him for half of what he earned during their 3 years together. Citing a law in Australia that says you are common law married after a certain amount of time.

I hope she loses and has to pay his legal fees. This is some gold digging bullshit.

The laws around the world need to change. I got into an argument with my one of my girlfriend's about his situation and she also felt she was entitled to money and I was blown away by that.

It entirely depends on the individual situation in my opinion. If for example you and your wife/girlfriend have an arrangement where you earn the money and she puts her career on hold to be a stay-at-home mom/housewife then I can see an argument for her being entitled to some. In most cases though no

I agree with that.

What a cunt. The thing is he’s making the majority of the money he will likely ever make right now while he’s young/ fighting age and champ. He needs to put that away for when he retires

You can't get a good wife if you're rich and famous.

Hmmm, what’s an arrangement where a woman gets to be a “stay at home mom/ housewife?”
That’s right, it’s called MARRIAGE, genius. And if you’re not married, you don’t get to just entitle yourself to your BF/GF’s earnings.
