I've thought Bisping was a bad matchup for Andy for years

Sure, Bisping lost to the men Silva beat, but stylistically Bisping has trouble for Silva.

Bisping is one of the better strikers Anderson has faced. Perhaps only behind agelessmaletor belfort. Bisping is definitely a better striker than Bonnar, Chael, and Mai.

I wouldn't bet on Bisping to beat but prime silva, but this isn't prime silva anymore. Old Silva looked beatable against Diaz who is the best striker Silva ever faced, arguably. Weidman, underrated but not magnificent on his feet, also did what he did to him while Sonnen dropped him.

Bisping has a good, technical kickboxing style. He uses all 8 points of his attack more so than all of Silvas other opponents. He also has a decent wrestling game. Mike may not be great at one thing, but he is good at everything.

I have Silva winning, but if Bisping does, not a shocker for me.

I think if Bisping ever had a chance to beat Anderson, it's now.

    Bisping is a good striker
A.Silva is a very good counter striker

Silva k.o rd1 worst case scenerio rd2, i doubt Bisping has the eye to survive for 5 rds

On top of being a much better fighter, Silva is a terrible stylistic matchup for Bisping.

How so, I picked Anderson to win. I actually made the op easy to read so you could have an easier time.

Meh, Bisping's best win was losing a close fight to Rashad.

bisping's disciplined boxing could be troublesome for silva in the same way weidman's was, he probably won't overextend nor desperately chase like many of silva's opponents

i'm not saying bisping is a lock to win or anything ofc, but i do think it's a challenging fight for silva, and has always been

Rashad at that time would have been a great win. Remember Rashad was lhw and he was prime during that match.

He didn't look great against Diaz...

Bisping could maybe lay n' pray his way to a win, he has a grappling match with Chael lined up for next month, I think that might be his strategy. It's possible, I'm still taking Anderson though

Chael did good against Anderson because he got inside Silvas head and threw him off his game. Bisping isn't inside of Anderson's head.

I think it is silly to have seen Bisping's fights and think he poses a stylistic problem for anyone highly ranked unless that fighter has serious cardio issues, which Silva doesn't. Bisping is nothing special aside from his cardio. In fact, the fact that he has success in MMA is an indictment on the sport. Bisping is a lesser Forrest Griffin, nothing special athletically.

You're looking at this completely backwards. Bisping is the perfect opponent for Anderson. A slower striker with less power.

Bisping has good cardio and decent footwork but anytime these two exchange, Bisping is at a pretty big disadvantage.

If it goes 5 Bisping won. Silva's counter style doesn't lead to decision wins. Going 5 rounds tells me Bisping out worked him.
