Hey everyone, this is my 2nd post, i'm new hear.

I just wanted to share my story here and get some tips. I was 306lbs. I'm 5'10. One day I went to see how much I was, and when I saw I was over 300lbs it was kind of a reality check, so for the past 5 months I've been trying to lose weight.

I am now down to 263lbs, and things are going great, at first they were slow, now they are moving fast that i have my diet in order.

Basically what I am doing is counting my calories. I am eating about 2000 a day. The computer program I have tracks things for me, how much I eat and how much I burn, so far its been great.

Usually in a day I will eat 6 meals, when I wake up I either have a protein shake, egg white omelet, or oatmeal. then I will have 5 more meals during the day, the main meals I will eat are chicken breast, or a sandwich with low fat meat on 12 grain bread with mustard or miracle whip. and I dont snack, I might have a fruit cup or baby carrots or green apples in between meals... and what has helped me most is I cut out all drinks, I use to drink 2L of iced tea or pop in a day, now I only drink water.

Any food tips would be great!

I have also been working out with weights lots, and I am starting to get some definition, I was also considering taking some sort of fat burner to help things out, I find the protein shakes have helped when I lift weights, i am seeing results faster it seems. I dont do cardio as much as I would like, but I got a treadmill I use like 2 times a week when I have free time... but as for now, i've mostly changed my eating habits dramatically.

any tips on foods, eating, gaining muscle, or burning fat are appreciated!

thats my story so far!

I think that your diet program is much better than anyone we could come up with. brother you 've lost over 40 pounds in 5 months, keep up your diet and you will be down to your target weight in a safe manner as it does not sound like you are losing too much at a time.

More Veggies. Leafy greens promote proper thyroid function. Eat more greens.

awesome, any one else got any tips?

Dude you are making all the right choices. Keep up the good work.

Way to go man, that is fucking awsome. Eat salmon(if you dont hate the stuff) a couple nights a week, it has very few calories. Your body acctualy uses more calories digesting it than it has in it. Keep a gallon jug of water with you EVERYWHERE you go. Just drink the stuff all day long, drink a gallon a day. Maybe try fitting in a couple more 20 minute cardio sessions if you can also. With that said, you are doing a awsome job and i wish i had the kind of dedication you have so that i could acctualy bulk up and not be a wear pussy. Good luck man.

No wonder you stopped posting on your own forum! Knew it had to be a logical explanation.(jk)

Congrats are in order. So, are you a mod in the Grappling forum or sortof a itinerate mod and you just sorta wander around banning folk?:icon_lol:

I've lost about 60 pounds doing the same thing you're doing. Just stick with it and your body will go to where it needs to go. Good work bro.

edit: lol, check out my post count "1337"

PAYNE The computer program I have tracks things for me, how much I eat and how much I burn, so far its been great.

What Program is this?

On a side note I've started working out this week and changing my diet I'm at 290 5' 11"
Just posting this for future refrence.

I have a tread mill as well, In high school I'd run maybe 1-1.5 miles a day on it and dropped from around 240 to 200 in about 4 months.

GOod job man. Keep it up. Never tried it but Hydroxycut is making some noise.

What Program is this?

its called 'FitDay'

i mark down all foods i eat, and how much activity i do a day, how much i weight, and how much i wanna be by what date and it tells me how much calories i should take a day, and has a bunch of neat functions...

if you wanna chat, leave your MSN, and i'll add you

anyone try 'Hydroxycut' ??? whats it like?

-drink green tea (hot, from a teabag, not the sugary canned variety); helps boost metabolism and is MUCH better than coffee

-up the cardio! Skip rope for 5-10 min, and get Bas' MMA training CDs...do the boxing or MT - you don't even need a bag, and as long as you shadowbox with full effort you'll burn a lot of calories, and after a couple of weeks your body will adapt and you'll lose even more poundage (I'm skinny, and this type of training made me lose 30lbs that I didn't want to lose)

-eat more fiber...leafy greens, oatmeal (yuck), beans...you'll keep your GI tract clean and clear of accumulated crap and lose more that way

Good job!
