I kinda want to read the 3 Thrawn books and others, but want to read canon stuff. I also want to see what Revan was about after seeing a lightsaber video review.

I read the Clone Wars cartoon had Darth Maul and Sidious and I don't remember seeing those episodes.

I watched a lightsaber video review that mentioned Mace Windu wasn't confirmed to be dead, so googled and found rumors saying he's Snoke and he's Finn's daddy and SLJ wants to play the role again.

Didn't even watch the Solo bluray yet.

I think the cure for Star Wars fever is The Last Jedi.

If you're after Revan you might want to play Knights of the Old Republic...great fucking game with a massive story-line about Revan.

I have no idea what's canon anymore, so I can't really help with that. The New Jedi Order is an amazing series of books (I think 22 in total) detailing the Yuuzhan Vong War against the Jedi and the New Republic. AWESOME storyline and well worth your time if you're willing to get out of the Disney Canon garbage.

And Windu became Snoke and sired Fin? People are so bored with the current state of Star Wars that they have to dream up silly garbage theories such as this.

Clone Wars was hard to watch...some fun Star Wars stuff but definitely created for 10-12 year olds.

I need to rewatch that because I saw today an article saying they disclosed who Rey's parents are and maybe the new director will retcon it. I don't remember that reveal.

Holy shit, that would actually have been a decent plot twist and I, for one, wouldn't have seen it coming. Snoke is dead now and Finn has shown no sign of tapping into the force, so probably a missed opportunity.

Watch Star Wars Rebels. After its over you realize you can have anything you want be canon. Or anything you DONT want can be negated. God Bless Filoni.

Also towards the end of the series it has literally one of the greatest moments in Star Wars history.

Word. I only want to watch the Darth Maul episodes. I read Sidious didn't kill him there because he had plans for him. I want to watch that episode.

If you want to see what Revan was about (and get an introduction to the era of The Old Republic) you can buy the game for $10 on a smartphone, Xbox, or PC. It can be played in real-time, but technically it is turn-based, it can be paused, and targeting is automatic, so it does very well on touchscreens. You won't need a gaming PC to play it. It was written by Drew Karpshyn, and many consider this the best video game narrative of all time:

Darth Maul and Sidious don't appear until later in The Clone War series. That narrative was continued in the Disney comics titled Darth Maul, and then concluded in the animated series Rebels. The latter series is more kiddie, but I like it a lot. It's worth watching until at least the finale of the second season. That double-episode is one of the finest pieces of all Star Wars canon, and the peak of the show.

While the show's conclusion would seem to contradict its possibility, or at least it's likelihood, I was holding out hope that Ezra and Sabine would be Rey's parents. Makes sense.
Those plans are made clear in the Darth Maul comic, not a show, but you have to be familiar with The Clone Wars to be familiar with the main characters, and just why he needed Maul to execute them.

just watch higher quality film in general then when you rewatch the star wars material it won't be the same anymore.

Breaking Bad, as mentioned, is a good start.
HBO has a lot of good series: Oz, Eastbound and Down, The Wire, In Treatment, Entourage.

Then "upgrade" to good films because it is much harder to tell a complex story in 2 hours and you will have been spoiled by good film series that you will be more critical of film in general and eventually All but the original Trilogy of Star Wars will look like garbage as far as Star Wars goes.

Watching The Last Jedi will likely cure you and make you hate Disney for the next decade.

Also I created this almost same thread a few weeks ago. Someone posted some Vader Fan film (on Youtube?) that looked cool but haven't got around to watching it yet. Maybe look into that.
