I've bought a house Sherbros, it's great, big and in a good school district. I now have a couple of months before I have to move in and I'm doing all the modification I want.

I'm looking for advice, what would you make sure was in your house if you got the chance to make it just as you want it?

I'm pulling up the carpets and reflooring in tile and laminate wood. I'm also going to install LED strip lighting throughout like so:

It's all going on Philips hue so voice controlled lighting, heating etc.

I'm putting in a new heating system and boiler, now I'm interested if anyone has any ideas they like.

Thanks bros!

Throughout the house will be white walls, downstairs is gonna be wood floors, either oak, or grey oak.

Just had a meeting with the plumber and we're gonna rip out the boiler, copper pipes and radiators, replace the whole system with mains feeding the cold taps and a pressurised hot tank feeding all the hot taps/showers etc. Radiators out perform hot air systems and retro fit of hot air is a ball ache so I'm gonna fit more efficient modern radiators.

Turn it into a big strip club, hire some of the local hookers and invite your sherbros over for a good ass time.

Don't invite the vegans, though. They can sip their almond juice on the outside

Get rid of the carpet and put in hardwood. New kitchen, new bathrooms.

If i easy a cheeseburger will you let me in

I'm seeing more than 4 total walls baby, get the hammer and open that floor plan. It's 2018, wall's are lava.

I'd definitely get rid of that lighting along the wall. Wtf is that?!

Congratulations. We bought our house last december.

I suggest to go with recessed lighting, and whatever else you want done electrically.

Electrical is probably one of the most expensive things to upgrade in a home.

Make your own furniture if you can, not only will you save money, you'll get exactly what you want.

I don't like the lighting plan, but it's your home, so fuck my opinion.

Surprised you're not painting or doing any landscaping.

I would take care of any cosmetic plumbing changes before you move in.

Those ceiling lights are fucking awful, unless you are trying for a techno party house. Are you trying for a techno party house? If not, just install normal LED lights and use lamps for spot lighting.

For sure though redo the kitchen and at least one bathroom. Doing that shit when you live in the house sucks.

Before you move in, painting, flooring, insulation and insulated curtains - if they need an upgrade. The rest take your time with.

How about living in it?

change those doors they are fucked, new carpet/floor boards and patch the multiple holes from the shitty frames that are scattered around everywhere.

Properly insulate the attic to avoid ice dams that could fuck up your roof and eaves.

Enjoy being a 25 year debt slave and paying double what its worth back.
