Hopefully he appeals and only has to face the suspension and the 10k fine.

He deserved to lose his purse and to serve a suspension. Maybe it'll make him think next time.

eh, I can't TOTALLY disagree but at the same time, he still fought for 12 rounds and has people in camp to pay. Punishment is due but no purse? Thats a little too far for me.

Good point about the people in his camp that he has to pay especially his sparring partners. It's not fair to them so I'll take that back.

I can't agree with taking the man's purse. That was probably a big payday for him, too. There should've been a fine that was higher enough to punish and pay Garcia for the infraction, but the entire purse and preventing the man from a year of work plus 10 to Danny? Example made of a fighter who I didnt even know had bitten Garcia because I missed the fight and didn't catch it in the news. You know why? Dude isn't a name or a money fighter. Fine the big names this hard, not the fringe guys who might make the only dime they ever really make being an opponent for a name.

He should have just used steroids. They would have went way easier on him.

Yeah taking a man's income over a mistake that didn't even hurt anyone is extreme as fuck.

So he gave him a love bite in the heat of a fight where he was losing and frustrated.....Better get out the fuckin pitchforks! This is totally unheard of!

Surely a 310K loss would be the highest amount ever for a bite?

They rarely take that much for anything

That's probably more than a fine for manslaughter for fucks sake

The guy was losing bad on probably the biggest stage of his career. Pressure effects us all differently.

No excuses for his actions and obviously nobody here, or anywhere, is condoning it, but the punishment is totally out of line with what happened

Luis Suarez, 3 bites so far, last punishment in 2014 4 months suspension and 100k fine. And hes earning 10m+ a year. This punishment is crazy.

I'm with others, here. Give that man his purse. I don't like that part of his penalty at all. Not for what we saw in that instance. Unless it was much worse than it looked, but if that was the case I'd think we'd have seen a pic from Garcia.
