It's very sad how blatantly Dana wants other MMA orgs to fail

Companies take digs at each other all the time in media and advertising.....are MMA fans really crying over Dana's twitter now?

I mean this is a guy who is essentially an ambassador for not only the UFC but the entire MMA sport.

If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't care what Dana does. It's embarrassing how he carries himself.

Yeah fuck the car companies too. I always see ads where they talk about how their cars are better than the competitors.

How mean is that? They should all be nice and compliment each other.

Jeez people on here are retarded.

If I owned the UFC I'd want the other orgs to fail or become feeders for me.
Same as any company.

What makes you say he's an embassador for the whole of MMA? Guys a businessman and commited to one org only.

What they want you to believe: UFC = MMA.

I'm not saying it's right, i'm just saying the way the media sees it, UFC = MMA, and Dana is a spokesperson now for the entire sport. Do you think the average person knows about Bellator or has even heard of Pride/Strikeforce/etc?

But, but wwwwaaaaahhhhhhh!

you forgot whiners.

It's very sad how blatantly some fans complain about anything Dana says or does or tweets about. You think just because he may be your ordained mma ambassador, he needs to promote a rival organization owned by Viacom? Come on.

Lol at betting on Aydin. You know what they say about a fool and his money...

It's not like he was pushing it hard or anything. It was a couple hours before the main card when he tweeted that stuff I thought.

I truly believe they have a mutual respect for each other and both orgs realize there are benefits to being competitors. Dana's said this himself so it's not just my opinion.

So we're bashing Dana for watching boxing, now?

Dana is also a boxing fan and has been before the UFC even existed

yes tell me more about this MUTUAL respect for each other when he said this literally a few days ago

"It's one of those things," White said. "Those guys, I don't care about those guys. I don't see them as competition whatsoever. I see that Bjork (Bjorn Rebney) has been saying a lot of stupid s--t lately, he's in the press. He's screaming for attention. Screaming for attention. Talking about New York and the union and he's going to... what the f--k has he done to do anything in New York? What has that guy done to raise the bar in mixed martial arts whatsoever? He's done nothing. He's done completely zero. Zilch.

It's not about the UFC vs. the world; it's UFC v. Bellator. Bellator have tried to position themselves as direct competitors to the UFC when they really, really aren't at that level.

Bjorn does the same thing; it's just nobody cares about Bjorn. He basically blamed the lack of MMA in New York on the Fertitta's. Not the UFC, but the casinos they own, because they aren't union. The Cullinary Union campaigns against an entire sport because the owners of a promotion wont allow them in their Las Vegas casinos...and Bjorn decides to support them. An MMA promoter supports an unrelated Union which is actively trying to prevent the spread of MMA. Genius.

Right now it's like NFL v. XFL.

Dana White is a huge boxing fan, I don't think he needs to use his twitter account to promote competitors event, which he isnt even watching.

Bjorn tries to compare their biggest cards numbers to UFC on Fuel numbers: Oh that rascally Rebney! What a character!

Dana promotes an HBO card over his competitors PPV: WHAT A MOTHERFUCKER!

This is different. I dont mind when Dana explicitly criticizes another org, but these tweets are very transparently passive-aggressive digs. Something you'd expect a teenage girl to do and it makes me cringe that a grown man with so much power in the sport would do this. "look how little I care about you" type of stuff.
