He looked slower and less mobile than usual, his body also looked different, more filled out than usual as well.

I think if he moves up, there are a bunch of interesting matchups to make up there and he can possibly make a run at the title.

First fight up at 145 can be against Frankie.

Is the weight cut hard for him?
He always gets there easily, no?

I don't know, I think the fighters at 145 are completely different animals.
Like 8 guys with KO power.

Shut the fuck up. Guy loses one fight in what, a decade? Against a contender who looked great coming in and then showed new level stuff in this fight? No need to panic son

Problem with Cruz style or any defensive style is that you got to be in top shape to pull it off.

I think he explained it well in the post-presser. Although I think it is undeniable that Cruz is considerably less athletic and more plodding than he was pre-injury, Cody's boxing, positioning and gameplan threw him off and he couldn't implement himself in the way Cruz ought to. Cody forced Cruz to come to him and this frustrated Cruz to the point where he at times even stopped feinting and just walked forward. That fight really goes to show that while Cody can't talk his way out of a paper bag, he sure can fight as smart as anyone else in the game. He is also the first guy to neutralise Cruz' takedowns and wrestling, which is incredible

so I don't think he'll do any better at 145. The weight cut is bad, but 145 will take away a lot of the advantages he has at the same time.

I wasn't saying it in a negative way you angry little troll. lol relax.

In combat sports, its natural for fighters to move up. He's not old yet, but i saw a difference in his physique last night, his body may be maturing. Cody is too fast and technical for him, and TJ is only getting better. Why not try 145 out, his speed and awkward style may cause those guys problems, like it did to the 135lb division.

Also, this is a good time to enter that division. Conor is gone, Aldo seems to be focused on Conor only and may chase him to LW. Could leave an opening for others. Cruz may be able to make some noise there.
