Its sad to see Anderson using distraction to protect the chin

Its clear his chin is gone. The signs were there as early as the Maia fight. But we are looking at a 40 year old who has been for over 20 years. It felt any time he engages seriously Bisping could seriously finish him. Anderson even when he hurt Bisping didnt want to go in full as he knew one slip would finish him. Worst of all a knock out tonight would have probably retired him. But I fear we are going to see him lose to lesser fighters now and get koed by some really average fighters. why cant fighters retire at the right time?
