I am getting old and its all down hill from here. At the ripe age of 26 too.

Decided to get back in shape. Wanted to challenge myself to complete an ultramarathon.

Rang 5 miles the first day. No problems there, but after running 10 miles a week later, my ankles are absolutely destroyed. I can barely walk and literally cant run even after 4 full days of rest.

This is stupid. I'm thinking about starting the TRT train early.

Yeah I hear you 26 is ancient. I don't know how you do it.

At 26 I could roll out of bed after drinking hard all Knight in bankok , and run ten miles before work.

You are gonna be fucked once you get into your 40’s.

Start pricing hooveround el citric chairs now

Your problem is you are out of shape, not that you are old. You need to build endurance.

you should have started light and slowly built up your stamina......your only 26 so the problem isnt your body but rather you didnt think this through well.

thats just the way I am I guess. I jump straight in to the deep end. Set big goals and fight tooth and nail to complete them, but I guess this time I kind of shot myself in the foot.

I'm craving to run really badly, but I dont think I'm going to be able to any time soon. my ankles are FUCKED

im that age now and I feel like I’m 26. I’m waiting for this sudden change people tell me is coming.

I also don’t have one grey hair.

For me it was like a light switch got flipped off at 41, slowed badly, more aches and pains etc etc.

I probubaly still out do the average 43 yr old though.

My gf just turned 30, it’s like someone threw her ass in the dumpster about 6 months ago. She’s basically broken now.

You're simply out off shape. When the body is weak the mind is weak.

And past the age of 20ish, every guy sometimes gets that "this is it, I'm old" thought when their body is protesting. Most have it often.

Your body is hurt and mind is panicking and trying to explain it.

Once you learn to expect this reaction when something is wrong with your body, it gets easier to ride it out.

The older you get ,the more weird shit you find on your body.

What's your height, weight, and amount of training before the attempt at the ultramarathon?

And what kind of shoes did you use?

At 46 I still stomp the shit out of all the 20 year olds.

You know how I do it? 3 Ibuprofin and knock it back with a zero Monster.

Man the fuck up, Sally.

26?

I'm 40 and just did a hike of 30km of rough horse trail through a forest, while carrying 50 lbs on my back.

If you got problems at 26, you'll be fucked at 40.

Good luck
