Back Like a Boomerang, Fabricio Werdum Set to Jump into the USADA Pool

While Fabricio Werdum is not eligible to compete until May of 2020, his manager Ali Abdelaziz claims he will soon re-enter the USADA testing pool. Next week, to be exact.

“Fabricio is going to come back and be a top-five heavyweight in the world,” Ali Abdelaziz told MMA Junkie recently (transcript via MMA News). “He’s training. He’s doing everything right.”

Abdelaziz also reaffirmed his belief that Werdum did not intentionally cheat, instead attributing the violation to “the system.”

“I believe he did not cheat at all, but the system got us,” he said. “But it’s okay. He has one more year, and he’ll be back in the cage.”

Fabricio Werdum last fought in March of 2017, when he was knocked out by former Bellator champion Alexander Volkov.

I guess Dana refused his request to be released

Shame because Werdum on juice in Bellator could've been interesting. I always wanted to see him and Barnett go at it on the ground

    Bader beats his ass though

So he left the testing pool for an entire year, did a good old roid cycle and guess he now thinks hes good to jump back in.

Money on him getting caught with his very first test back?

Oh, hes not eligible to fight in may 2020, because he doesnt get credit for time out of the testing pool.

Ali believes Werdum didn't cheat? How else did the Tren get into his system?

Too expensive of a drug for randomly contaminated supplements.

Post the one where he kicks Edmond, that's the best one

    edit:

I love how an exhausted Travis Browne, who just got his ass kicked for the past 25 minutes, walks forward like he's going to do a fucking thing.

doing a roid cycle for a year, but then stopping everything; he's going to lose anything he gained on that cycle...don't let people online try and tell you, that you can keep alot of what you gained...absolutely false...once the level of steroids in your body is no longer there, anything and everything you gained, will be gone, it time...it might take a few months...but it will happen...

I believe he would still be competitive in the old HW division. He hasn't shown signs he's far past his prime or lacking motivation (c.f. A. Silva, BJ Penn, Jose Aldo).

Just to clarify, the minute you leave the testing pool your suspension is put on hold. The entire 2 years must be served in the pool.

So he will NOT be eligible to return in May 2020

    upload_2019-5-15_19-0-55.png

however long he was out of the pool will be tagged on the end of his suspension.

didnt say he would keep the gains.

just said while hes been out of the pool hes probably been gimmicked and theres every chance with his first test back he pops.

Lol you know the guy you're giving advice to is connected to USADA right? If anyone on this board knows about roids, hes a good candidate.

This is not exactly true. Before I did roids the first time I was kind of a lanklet with no muscle mass at all really. After three good cycles I went from 175 to 210. Five years later I'm still 195 with decent muscle mass.

    Oh hell no.

Nope not right at all bud.

With proper off cycling I keep plenty of the gains.

In fact once I come off I like my body better due to lack of bloating.
Either you have never used a PED or your using wrong.

A study was done recently that showed once a “base” of muscle has been built, it comes back faster than say, starting from scratch. I’ll try and find the source.

At a minimum he will keep 25% of those gains if done right.

That guys is absolutely dead wrong.
