It's hard to see chandler beating gaethje after rewatching the oliveira fight.

JG and Chandler both have pretty poor defense. Look at endless footage of JG fighting like a complete asshole. He's been 'take yours to land mine' his entire career.

I think without any doubt its fair to say Chandler is the better grappler. JG absolutely sucks on that mat. Chanlder is the better MMA adapted wrestler and submission grappler.

On the flipside, JG is definitely more durable and can take a better punch.

I think its a pickem. They both have advantages, they are both hitters that YOLO too much.

Gaethje definitely the better overall striker but he's still a white belt in bjj so Chandler should definitely look to get him down, probably from the clinch.
