It's funny - when a GOAT fights someone his own size/bigger with some striking they get crushed

Silva fights Weidman x 2 (bigger MW) - completely outclassed standing
Jones fights Gus (same reach) - Jones gets beat up, arguably beaten and is crying in the locker room afterwards
Conor fights Nate (bigger man) - gets rocked and tapped out in his first fight against a truly bigger man
Aldo fights Conor (bigger man) - gets knocked out quick
Dominic fights Garbrandt (same size) - beat up and humiliated
DJ fights Cruz (bigger man) - outclassed

It seems when a dominant striker who relies on his reach finally fights a guy his own size with a bit of striking competence, they get beat up.

Maybe reach and length actually does play a major role in fighting.

wow i guessed you missed when silva fought in the lhw but its ok your a new conor type mma fan so its k

Well Conor beat Nate in the rematch. He also beat the lightweight champ like it wasn't shit.

Silva never really fought any killers at LHW, just more middle of the road guys

Also I didn't say this was a rule, I'm just saying that there is a pattern when an undefeated GOAT comes along, they only seem to lose to guys bigger or the same size as them.

umm so i guess frankie must have been bigger then bj when he beat him huh

Cody might be as tall as Cruz is but his reach his much shorter

Cruz still had the same advantage he has in all his other fights

One of those men in your list aint no goat

also, mcgregor isn't the first guy aldo fought that was bigger than him.

When conor fought boxer Eddie Alvarez

Oh wait

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh Burn :)

Eddie was shorter with a shorter reach.

Yeah, Eddie dwarfed Conor.

arm length does indeed play a big roll. according to most sherdogers though it doesnt.

when did reach and lenght not play a big role in fighting?

GSP and Fedor consistently fought taller opponents.

when did reach and lenght not play a big role in fighting?
"Silva is just old"
"Cruz is just old"
"Jones spent 22 minutes training for Gus"
"Conor took the fight on 82 seconds notice"
"Aldo is out of his prime"

Maybe these are true. Or maybe they just fought fighters who were the same size and competent.
