Meh I don't blame the UFC for doing what they did. I didn't listen to what he was saying but I'm guessing it has something to do with the UFC not giving him another title shot. I usually side with fighters who clearly earned a shot a la Demian Maia but I was really happy when Fitch got blasted by Hendricks. Not because I don't like him but he's easily one of the most boring fighters to watch or at least was at that time. I had no interest in seeing him fight GSP again. Fitch was a boring personality and a boring fighter but I at least respect his skills. I think there are some decent matchups for him at Bellator.

Dan was on a 4 fight win streak in the UFC (7 overall) and he just beat Mike Swick who everyone thought was going to be next in line for a TS.

Jon was on a 3 fight win streak with none of his wins being as highly ranked as Swick was at the time. The UFC could give Jon a rematch with GSP or a fresh match up with someone new. The choice was pretty clear.

He was good in WSOF, but WW is the by far the best division in Bellator. Fitch from 10 years ago would be competitive, but at 40 he's not going to do well against the top guys who are all in their 20s.

Fitch showed nothing that suggested a rematch with GSP would go any different than the first fight. No reason to waste a title defense on target practice

He was a great fighter. Say what you want but he got.the job done against high level dudes. The Hendricks ko and the absolute job that maia did on him probably ruined his career, but at 40 he is still a dangerous fight for almost anyone still.

They paid quarry 10k or so for his title fight against franklin and I remember quarry stating he received no back room bonuses either. I would be pissed too
