It's a shame to see so many fighters and fans attacking a guy trying to get paid fairly

We all know the UFC doesn't pay its fighters fairly. You only need to look at the fact that so many fighters get their biggest paydays OUTSIDE of the UFC, whether that's through another org, a different job, sponsorships, etc.

Conor got his biggest payday in boxing. Ben Askren will get his biggest payday boxing a YouTuber. Jake fucking Paul pays fighters better than the UFC does. So if you're defending Dana or the UFC, you just look like a moron.

They've also shown they don't give a fuck about you when you're retired - even Dana's BFF Chuck got shit canned.

Prizefighting is about making as much money as you can so you can live a comfortable life when you retire. I'm not a JBJ fan but he's taking a big risk to come up and make a legit superfight with Francis, so he deserves to be paid fairly.

Just because he's offered a few million - which is a big amount - doesn't mean that's fair pay. Imagine if you and your buddy went 50/50 on a lottery ticket and won 50 million, then your buddy says "hey since I was the one who physically bought it, I'll take 40 million and you take 10. Why are you complaining about making 10 million? That's a lot of money!" Would you take it and think that's fair, or would you feel entitled to the 25 million? Fuckin simps

And a guy like Dominick Reyes, who's never done shit in the sport, always fallen short in the big fight, tryign to suck up to Dana and the UFC, who will throw him away like a used tissue the second he losses 3 in a row.

But you don’t know how much Jon is asking and you have no idea what Dana is offering. I know you wanna defend your guy but the reality is you don’t have the details to properly do so.

There's simps and then there's blind fanboys.

Also, which fighters are "attacking" Jones?

It's a buisness where people that talk for a living and don't have to bust their backs like us regular folks, take advantage of their employees to the fullest of in regards to their financial freedom.

Just like how they nickel and dime their customers also, I'm all in favor for fighters taking a stand for what should be rightfully owned to them, after years of being ripped off, and having money stolen from them in a sense.

I don’t disagree with you.

you’re going to meet a lot of resistance in this thread because (it has to be said) no one likes Jon jones. We have Silva, GSP, Conor, Brock, Fedor, Khabib nuthughers. If there are nuts, they are hugged on sherdog.

But nobody hugs Jon jones nuts. He’s like the one dude that gets almost no support.

So that’s why. But you’re right. The mans just trying to get paid and he deserves it

It’s a shame the UFC had to move an entire fight card to a different venue just because a guy got popped for roids (for the 3rd time), forcing thousands of fans to pay a shitload more money to see an event they already paid for

It’s a shame the fighter that’s the so-called “greatest of all time” had to resort to multiple steroid abuses in order to be perceived as such

It’s a shame that same fighter did a hit-n-run on a pregnant lady and only went back to his car to fetch the bag of cocaine he forgot

there is no sympathy here.

Why didn't this get negotiated months ago?

Dana said Jones is fighting winner. Jones said he was fighting the winner. What changed?

Oh yea. Ngannou won.

Its weird because if you do look back, Jon has mentioned a few times he was hopeful that he and the UFC would come to terms with a good pay day for his next fight. I think hes more pissed about how Dana decided to promote the fight by literally throwing him under the bus at the post fight presser...thats pretty much Danas way of low balling...remember...according to Dana...nobody ever wants to fight, hes done this countless times with fighters and fans and media always fall for it.

You are the moron if you don't understand that these fights, regardless of how dumb they are, generate more income than a UFC fight. Conor didn't get more money because boxing is a friendly and generous business, but because the Mayweather fight brought a fuckton of cash.

Because he deserves all the hate he gets! Eye poking roid cheating a hole and with the longest reach and still acts like he is the underdog winning, wtf is wrong with that guy?
<{hughesimpress}>

I think it’s mostly because of how vocal he was about moving up when Stipe was the champion. Suddenly, when Ngannou became the champ, money became a huge variable.

I love how Jones haters are ignoring the fact that he has complained about his pay long before this. And so have tons of other fighters in the UFC. The UFC needs to pay up and get this fight made, we have missed out on so many good superfights because they were too cheap to pay their fighters properly. Anyone who is a true MMA fan would be mad at the UFC, not Jones.
