have you ever tried it in real life? It's not easy to cut off the ring (or cage) while the other guy is punching you in the face.

Edit: even in a ring few people can "cut off" a skilled opponent; in an octagon it is even far more difficult*

*it's arguably the reason why Anderson Silva went from a mid level fighter to a GOAT candidate when moving from a ring to the octagon. or why Cro Cop went the other way

agreed... ronda pulled a bisping at ufc 100.. how are you a professional combat sports athlete and you dont know how to circle away from the power strike? Just moving away from the punch, not completely dodging it. it makes no sense to me.

I thought it was way beyond Bisping. Bisping was in that fight, kept technically sound, kept circling away and then goofed and circled in...Ronda, on the other hand, appeared to be from an episode of Bully Beatdown starting the second round; probably the worst I have ever seen someone look in the UFC since the early days. Just utterly humiliating, esp considering the gravity of the hype falsely heaped on her. When she slipped/got up, she was facing the other direction ala Hordecki Njokuani. I still thought this was more brutal than that, but both literally got kicked half way across the octagon; it was fucking SURREAL!

everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face: In theory fighting is very easy, in reality it's very hard.
