Stipe was fired up, you could tell he wasn't happy with how the UFC promoted the fight

I disagree with him but glad he won

You disagree with him? I respect your opinion, don't get me wrong, but I quite honestly cannot see how is it even possible to disagree after last night.

What a fucking beast.

I still don't think stipe is the best. I dunno. Its weird. I feel like he was an inch away from being koed in the first, overeem almost had him. Werdum fought stupid against him.

Hes a great fighter but he just doesnt feel like a champ.

He just beat this unstoppable Ford or Fiat or whatever they said. He should be happy with how the UFC promoted this fight.

He's bigger than ever now. It worked out both ways.

I feel the same, but we have to be aware that it’s bullshit.

Look at his last five wins, they are ridiculous.

So because you "feel" that Stipe is not the champ you also think he is not the best?

I honestly don't get it. How can you do this? I mean, does it even matter what happens in reality or are you seeing the world only by how you feel about certain things? I'm confused.

Yes since he lost a close war vs JDS

He destroyed Hunt over 5 rounds.. probably took a good 5-10 years from his life..

Destroyed Arvoloski (when he was on a run and close to title shot/not the shot broke down one Francis beat).. JDS.. Reem and Werdum in ONE freaking round

Dominated Francis the second coming of Tyson Nngannou

But he doesn't feel like the champ.. because you think his Werdum fought stupid vs him.. Good lord...

Oh and the only reason Overeem was "close" to finishing him (he wasn't) was because Stipe fought "stupid".. chasing Overeem who was literally running/hurt and walked into a big shot and got buzzed

He is a great and well deserved champ.

Let me guess 'wearetheromans' likes WWE style action and would only be happy if it was a 'big name' like Cain or Overeem on the throne.

What he said was pretty clear. He felt that a lot of Stipe's wins were due to highly favorable circumstances. Like: old guys, chinless guys, bad gameplanners.

Being able to use favorable circumstances to your advantage is a skill on its own. When you're a general and use favorable terrain to win the battle that doesn't make you less of a general, but actually makes it more impressive. I don't know, am I wrong?

well, he is not old, he has a chin, he gameplans well,... so he is the champ

Well football is a "game of inches" (don't know what fighting is) but Stipe is doing what it takes to defend his belt. I also feel that he benefitted greatly at fighting JDS and Overeem at the twilight of their careers......Still, a majority of Sherdog saw Ngannou as the next big thing, yet Stipe was still able to implement his game plan to perfection and keep his belt....

Congratulations champ

Its just my opinion brah. To me he just doesnt have the same aura that guys like Cain or prime jds had. He was the betting underdog tonight, despite being champ.

JDS and Cain's careers are overrated. Half of it they fought each other. I still cringe when people mention Cain in any type of fight for the title in the division. You probably don't remember the last time he fought without using Google.

It's fine. I'm just wondering how your perception of an aura or you feelings can overwrite what you see and know to be true. I don't work that way.

He should be a solid draw imo. I always thought Americans love underdog stories.

Stipe embodies the underdog with a hard work, determination and will mentality. He finds a way to beat guys who are more gifted than him. He is inspiring and a humble guy.

What are you talking about? How is fighting a guy with a glass chin, favorable terrain?
