I think its probably unlikely that they succeed in closing the strait, but if they did it could still cause global oil prices to spike, or have effects on supply chains for trade if they did.

Iran continues to display they’re an ideal candidate to possess nuclear weapons and ought to be trusted to make decisions. Just staying on brand launching missiles into residential areas of Israel following strikes in military targets in Iran.

These are the people who the world should rush to defend and even send them nuclear war heads.

The scenario I’m concerned about is Russia and China backing Iran not with words, but military force.

If Iran is spiking oil prices for china, I don’t see them just sitting there and accepting that.

We would see prices go up, but they would be reactionary, not actual supply issues.

China would have real, immediate supply issues. Which is a much different situation. It would also impact India.

I just don’t think it’s realistic long term. And it’s going to hurt others long before it hurts the US. Which is a big deal when the real threat in this conflict that everyone is afraid of is the other countries like china, Russia etc.

Not to mention that naval and air superiority is where I think the US military thrives. Land combat against guerilla warfare is always costly. But naval combat……any blockade in place would and could be removed by force rapidly.
