Hooker proved what we all suspected; that he's an absolute shell of himself at FW.

He wasn't winning that fight, was very badly hurt, and ultimately got saved from going unconscious. The guy's career's going to be over in a couple fights if he keeps taking extreme amounts of damage. After that, we'll simply be worried about his long term health.

You have to throw back at some point. Otherwise it’s just unanswered shots, whether they are landing and doing damage or not. Rope a dope isn’t a real thing in mma.

It was a terrible stoppage. If that were Nate Diaz they just would have let him get beat up. I bet on Allen but I was still annoyed by it.

He was trying to defend, but a lot of those shots were getting through and hooker took too many unanswered shots. He should have moved to get out of there, clinched, fired back, anything....

Fights are called ALL THE TIME with opponents shelling and 'blocking'. It doesn't matter if their arms in the way, their head is still getting hammered.

Usually these calls are made after a referee very clearly warns the fighter to fight back, but if they can't, the fight's over.
