Just ran into this video, thought i'd share. That said I think Israel is a complete different fighter now, and obviously this isn't MMA. This video is not to hate on Israel, just thought I'd share since I hadn't seen it.

Well, that was a pretty damn good match and both of the fighters got hit multiple times. Adesanya likes to keep his hands pretty low, and sometimes he gets hit because of that.

I feel like this quality white belt post deserves some extra recognition.

In MMA you really should have a real extreme tough chin or very good striking defence/head movement to not to get KO d..Just look at Saki he was fighting against giant HW A level strikers at K1 and he has doing well and he just KO d 1st round to a no name fighter...

Dang with 4oz gloves I wouldn't be surprised if someone cracks him and puts him out, not saying he has a glass jaw but hes clearly chinny.

He was doing good too, looked like he was outclassing the guy but damn did he get straight up sonned at the end their, dude got right in his grill.

He's not chinny at all. That was his only KO loss in like a hundred combined fights.

Saki is also semi retired, has over 100 fights and had a major knee injury. He also has to adjust to the threat of the takedown. It's not a great comparison. Kickboxing is just a different game to mma. Making the adjustments isn't easy

Whats your point I say with small gloves you can be lights out anytime its way different than kickboxing

he didn't even get KO'd because his hands were low though. he got KO'd because the guy threw the hook shorter than he anticipated. he thought he was going to throw a wide hook to the cheek/temple area, and instead threw a short one right across his grill.

High level kickboxing. Show me one top level kickboxer who was not been knocked out. Its a part of the game.

Hoost, lebanner, badr hari, spong, ect

Pretty sure they just signed that guy who knocked him out.

They

Well, he is fighting on the Contenders Series. Apparently has beaten Israel x2.

Gotta keep an eye out for him then.

Israel is good and I really like him from what I have seen from his interviews, but dude is far from perfect, striking wise. Also, people see him as a Glory fighter but he has fought only 3 times in Glory and lost once. He has as many fights in Glory as he has in the UFC. But he is young, I think, and could improve a lot.

He seems to have a natural knack for grappling, at least defensively. I think he has a bright future. He's got a mouth on him, talks a lot of shit, and that fact, combined with his style, he has every chance to he a huge star.

Alex Pereira is the current Glory middleweight champion. Glory level striking. I'd favour him against Khalil Rountree in a ring with a few months ground training.

Definitely. He had a great podcast with Rogan too. He has a great presence and personality that is easy to market.

I think he has actually had a good amount of MMA fights before he went to the UFC, which a good move that he started to do MMA a while back. Can't start doing it early enough.
