Islamic State/Iraq Thread 2.0

I posted that last page. They realized they enabled their own doom by assisting ISIS, and now they want help from the West and Iraqi government. The trouble is, nobody will believe or help them again after they butchered thousands of Shiites, Kurds, Christians and Yazidis in the past few months when they were in bed with ISIS. They're reaping what they sowed.

You don't think the U.S. will believe them? I know the Shiites won't believe them, but I keep hearing the Obama administration talking about a political solution and a more "inclusive" government. I think the administration is hell bent on keeping Iraq as a single state.

Lol these stupid fucks tried the same thing with Al Queda. They planned on using them to invade Baghdad and then backstab them. Now they partner with the most insane group of terrorists in the middle east and are asking for help. Fuck them.

From the article:

http://http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-28978941

"The Sunnis feel that everybody is ganging up on them, that they are targeted by everybody," said Mr al-Zubaai.

I wonder why?

"The worst thing is to realise that you have nothing to lose any more. The situation is very bad and getting worse. It's enough to make you blow yourself up. This is where the political process has taken us.

Translation: do what we want or we'll unleash a wave of suicide bombings.

"Our biggest concern now is a political solution. A security solution will achieve nothing. The bombing has to stop."

Translation: Okay we fucked up! But everything can go back to the way it was. We apologize for the thousands of Iraqi men, women, and children who were beheaded, raped, and crucified. It's all good.

You think ISIS or Al-Nusra would let women walk around without husband or brothers to escort them? No black burqa covering their entire body except the eyes? Do you even know what's going on?

Just humor me

They still have Mosul and Fallujah. They are collecting 3 to 4 million a day in oil revenues and enjoying a proliferation of recruits (who they can afford to pay), while the west is twiddling their thumbs and trying to figure out how to intervene in Syria without looking like complete ass hats. If there is anyone that doesn't have a strategy it's us.

But how are they shipping this oil to market? Is it all going through Turkey?

If we aint willing to directly attack ISIS, lets sanction Turkey or something.

lol@ saudi Arabia warning us of a terrorist attack. Can we bomb them already?

A deal will have to be made with the Sunnis.

I know that's shitty, but that region is shit. We made a deal with the Shias after al-Sadr. We'll do the same with the Sunnis. And it'll probably hold for a little while.

From what I have read a lot of it is going through Turkey (on the black market). Ironically, Assad has been buying it from them as well.

Sure a deal has to be made, but who's going to put trust in it to make it work? Do you really think the Iraqi government will be more trusting and inclusive after thousands of Shiites were massacred by ISIS and Sunni tribesmen? This is not the first time the Sunnis are doing it either. Back in 2006, they harbored ISIS's predecessor, Al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI), against the newly formed Iraqi government and US forces. Like today, they actively assisted AQI in carrying out their attacks. They were hoping it would gain them political leverage in Baghdad. They only stopped after Americans started the surge and paid them hundreds of millions. A tentative peace was reached with the Shiite government under Maliki, which ended when American troops left and the money stopped flowing.

Now they're trying the same stunt to gain political power, except this time they brought a monster they can't control and it's about to devour them. Shiites, Christians, Kurds and Yazidis won't trust the Sunnis ever again after this, and that "inclusive" government US has been talking about is a pipe dream. Any Iraqi government that wished to remain in power will take a hardline stance to please the Shiite majority. Iraqi is effectively split in three, but nobody officially spelled it out for the world yet.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Reading there have been airstrikes and aid drops to aid Amirli.

Article said there have been 115 airstrikes since August 8th. Probably has something to do with the "shift in strategy on the eastern front".

Pity it hasn't been more though.

I agree with much of what you said, but the truth of the matter is that there will have to be an agreement with Sunnis. And like I said, it will probably hold for a little while because people have to be tired of violence and the threat of violence always hanging over their heads.

Most of the Sunnis don't deserve to be trusted, but that's geopolitics. You have to make deals with the devil sometimes.

The alternative is a civil war.

Need a new thread.

Islamic State/Iraq Thread v3: The Caliphate Reaches Montreal

audi Arabia’s King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz warned on Friday that the threat of terrorism will reach Europe and America if the world does not unite to confront it, Al Arabiya News Channel reported.

The king made the statement during a reception of foreign ambassadors to the kingdom in the coastal city of Jeddah.

Britain on Friday raised the terror threat level to severe, the second-highest level.

The decision was related to developments in Iraq and Syria, but there was no information to suggest an attack was imminent.

“What we are facing in Iraq now with ISIL is a greater threat to our security than we have seen before,” Prime Minister David Cameron said.

He told reporters that while the Taliban facilitated al-Qaeda terrorism, the Islamic State group is “effectively a state run by terrorists.”

Seriously? So the bastards which they have supported and financed, has now grown out of control, and he wags his freaking finger at Europe and the US to do something. Really asshole, you want our troops and our EU brothers to waste our men and equipment while you sit around on your ass an do nothing? they could support Iraq via airstrikes, woops thats to much for them to ask for even though they have a bunch of modernized aircraft to do so.they don't actually care about preventing terrorism unless it is directed towards the royal family. Absolutely worthless

What about aid with all the transport air planes available and the oil money? Woops that way to much for them to do. Honestly im really getting sick of these fucks in SA. Anyone else agree with me that the SA is becoming more of a waste of space?

Yeah, at this point I'm starting to doubt the religious aspect of their jihad, I think many of them are just outright sociopaths...

Sociopaths have religious dispositions too.

Their religious dispositions are not the same as other peoples religious dispositions, but they are dispositions none the less, and these sociopaths belive them to be valid. That's really all that matters.
