Congratulations to both fighters but this fight just showed, even though I hate to admit it, Khabib is the goat and there is nothing we can do about it. Islam looked great against Oliveira but I’m now 100% sure Khabib would’ve mauled him easily.
Volk actually would’ve been finished in the 3’d round because Khabib would’ve trapped his legs and bashed his face in.
As much I wanted Islam to surpass Khabib and thought he would, Khabib is on a different level. The guy just doesn’t show any weaknesses or damage.

Islam won because he outpointed volk through strikes.

Not sure if khabib could do the same. However volk is hard to sub and khabib goes less for subs than Islam so his ground style might have been better suited.
