it's pretty dumb to be overly confident IMHO. I mean every fighter trains his butt off on the mat and at least has a puncher's chance to land on the button. If that happens Islam looks like a clown again. I would STFU and take what's offered and don't look past who's in front of you.

IMO Islam’s rise to fame should be through anyone and everyone . As in not being selective with opponents , not pulling out of fights , fighting as often as possible . That’s how he gains momentum and popularity and builds a legacy otherwise he will miss out on to many fights like kabib did

True, but if you don't shout out for other fighters, then you just don't get the fight. It's the way it is, if you don't make a noise everybody walks past you. A high risk if you lose but rewards are huge.

The fact that a top 10 fighter has to put on a win streak just to fight another top 10 fighter is embarrassing. He’s not asking for a title shot. He’s done more than enough at this point to get a fight with someone in the bottom half of the top 10.
