Islam's most underrated win is Chris Wade. Chris was 12-1 and 4-1 in the ufc when he fought Islam. We know how good Wade wrestling is when he outwrestled a D1 champ Bubba Jenkins in his last fight. The fact that makhachev was able to soundly outgrappled him at the age of 24 is impressive.

Chris is going to face the undefeated Khaybulaev in his next fight for the PFL title.

The thing is, i think Islam needs to concentrate and actually focus on a plan

He is very talented but it feels like there is too many things on his mind going into a fight (as in having too many options)
Improving his GNP will improve his chances tremendously (and win him more fans too)

One of the best grapplers outside of the UFC.

    not even close

He is good tho.. but nowhere near the top.

He got the Dagestani treatment in the UFC.. same with Kajan. They fed him to Rustam and Islam

The problem with Islam is, that he's build his career from the top and not the bottom.

He was sold as Khabibs only equal without any high level fights to prove and sitting around top 15.

Thank god he finally gets a shot at top 5 - 10.

He just outgrappled bubba Jenkins in his last fight. He's definitely one of the best outside of the ufc.

Why would he need more fans?

He has @Ackmed who counts for 1,000,000

No he is not. unles with "one of the best" you mean top 300 or so.

I remember the Bubba Jenkins hype in his Bellator days.. he is good but not that good. Just another generic @D 1 Wrestler

Wade also got grapplefucked by late Khabilov who was a great grappler but not elite at the time.

    I disagree.
His best win is his decision victory against Arman Tsarukyan.

Tsrukyan is his best win but Wade is his most underrated win.

Wade won the first round him and Arman were the only ones competitive in the grappling with him

For the people putting down down or disagreeing with OP you need to need to watch or rewatch the fight cause Wade has given Islam his hardest fight to date, even tougher than Arman.

Wade is solid and it’s BS they matched him up with other wrestlers during his UFC run.

Chris Wade fought Islam coming off a loss to Rustam Khabilov.

Why leave out this type of context?

You know who else Chris Wade has lost to? A bunch of guys you've never heard of.

    This is a bad thread.

So Chris wade was not a good win for Islam because he only lost to Rustam in the ufc?

And other than Rustam and Islam, Wade has only lost to Loik and Schulte. If you think those guys are bums then that only say about your ignorance.

All of your context was dogshit.

    - coming off a loss to another literal Russian wrestler
    - has lost to a bunch of guys you've never heard of
    - zero marquee wins to his name
    - Bubba Jenkins is a marginal MMA talent with a 16-5 record against unimpressive talent

If you bothered to punch in this stuff up it would make your point sound pretty much baseless.

There is nothing good or bad about beating Chris Wade, its a marginal win against a marginal MMA wrestler.
