About bad luck last year and future plans
- Go back to training after sickness.
- Need 1,5 - 2 month to get in top shape in case he gets fight.
- Gonna be ready to fight in the end of February.
- Watched RDA vs Felder, thought I should be there. Was a good fight. RDA didn't really impress, Felder cam on weeks notice.
- I think our fight would be more interesting.
- RDA says he wants big fights, calling out Conor and Khabib... I don't really know what changed in 1 fight.
- I will be calling him out. It's a good fight for me.
- Don't like being talked about as Khabibs successor, I haven't fought for over a year I shouldn't be talked about like that. I need a fight first and prove myself.
- I need to fight more often and ask for fights, was unlucky this year had 4 fights scheduled this year.
- Had 3 camps, trained a lot, improved as a fighter.

About 23 January
- Islam doesn't think UFC are trying to provoke a situation by putting Khabib's team mates on same card as Connor.
- If our teams gonna meet Conor's team in Abu-Dhabi I think there will be sparks. I think UFC will have a lot of security.

Q: What if you and Dillon Danis are walking towards each other in hotel corridor, will you just quietly walk past him or what would happen?

- I will not quietly walk by (smile). Don't know what would happen, but something would happen. I would like a moment like that to happen .

Best LW after Khabib's retirement and state of LW division
- Poirier, Gaethje, Tony can't really single anyone out. All of them lost fights last year
- Conor vs Poirier, very interesting fights. I like Dustin, but something happens to him in big fights, maybe he gets nervous. If he comes out relaxed and his best self it should be a very competitive interesting fight.
- Conor will be a little favourite. Conor has a little better striking.
- Islam has a dream to fight Tony Ferguson, would like to fight Conor as well.

Lets say in the arab peninsula they don't really tolerate people acting a fool too much.
Maybe cause of Khabib status they might get out of trouble, but the arabs are a lot more strict on enforcing rules than the US.
