How many are better than him? Maybe Anderson, Whittaker (Yoel has a better body of work though despite Bobby beating him in a close fight) and..? Possibly Hendo but a lot of his big wins are at LHW and up?
 
He could beat any of those you mentioned
 
Looks awesome fighting at light heavyweight in the middleweight division. That's for sure
 
Best? absolutely.
Greatest? maybe not yet.
 
His record speaks for itself. I’d say he’s almost assuredly in the top 3 all time.
 
I've doubted Yoel all along. I will no longer make that mistake. Also, that said Rockhold had been placed on an elite pedestal but his record does not line up with this assessment. He's lost when he's needed to win and looking the way he did against Branch wasn't an accident. He's not top level, flawed stand up game and for having great ground and pound I don't see the elite level takedown ability to even use it? Strange.

Yoel had truly earned my respect and I would not pick against him again. Another fight with Bobby Knuckles is going to be so great to see. Weidman and Jacare should fight to get the winner. Gastelum vs. Luke I say and the loser needs to reflect on what weight class they want to be in....and for Luke taking up modeling full time where he's not allowed to speak.
 
Hmm, hard to say...
- he is 13-2 - good record, but not a long one
- he beat 3 ex-champions
- he beat Jacare - top competition (imo, Jacare won, but the judged didn't agree)
- heat beat Tavares, Brunson and Kennedy - decent competition


Hendo is a top OW, but not that great at MW.
Whittaker is only 7-0 at MW and he never beat a champion, although he has the belt.
Silva was the best, but cough * steroids * cough.

I would say Luke is elite just flawed, he has wins over Jacare, Weidman and Bisping and was the guy who started Machida's skid. Plenty of elite guys are clearly flawed unless you don't think of say JDS, Overeem, Rumble, Condit, or even Anderson himself as ever being elite.

Man I'm not trying to call you out in particular but this seem like a perfect example of only as good as your last fight mentality that sherdog lives and dies by. Luke beat Jacare, Kennedy, Lyoto, Weidman, Bisping, and has held UFC and Strikeforce gold. He's clearly elite and won when it mattered.
 
As much as I don't like the guy he is a great fighter. If he becomes champ and defends at least twice he'll probably be remembered as the 2nd greatest behind only Anderson Silva. At this point in his career he's probably top 5.
 
Among the best ever no doubt.
If he was only younger he would be MW GOAT.
Still can become actually winch is crazy thing.
 
Until he beats Whittaker, he will be a close second. But, I guess he will lose to Whittaker again.

Indeed, Luke is overated and his last 2 fights have proved to me that the Bisping KO wasn't just a fluke. Bisping exposed him.
 
I don't know he is a good fighter, but he lost that Jacare fight IMO cheated against Kennedy and was busted for roids.
 
Yoel is the greatest fighter ever for 30 seconds in every fight but it can happen in any round.
 
He definitely is up there, he has wins over Weidman, Jacare, Rockhold, Machida and Brunson. Good on him.
