This whole "I want money fights" seems like..

"I want easy fights"

Why not clean your division first instead of calling out underserving fighters?

Wonderboy should get his well earned TS.

Thoughts?

yes. also Dana's hair is thinning

That's mostly how I see it. Wonderboy is a very difficult first defense.

In fairness though Woodley is 34 and his prime is ticking away. What he's doing is smart but it's totally ducking his worst matchup at WW.

Why would the UFC give him a percentage of PPV sales he not a needle mover. He will get a bump up in salary because he is the champ with whoever he fight. My guess is 500K but no % of PPV sales. So how is a GSP or Diaz fight a money fight for him? He's Ducking

If Wonderboy were truly the best money fight Woodley would take the fight.
I don't think he is ducking anything but a small payday.

He's clearly ducking.

Of course he is. I don't think he believed he was ever going to be champion, just like Bisping, and now they've let it go to their heads

Of course he is. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional... Goofs.

It took the attention off of ducking Lombard 2 years.

Depends on who he fights.
If he fought connie I am sure he would get ppv points.
Small bUT he would.

Well, from his perspective, a fight with wonderboy will be as tough or tougher than his other options but for less money, so I'd say he probably wants to get in one fight first

Yes.

I've no issue with him wanting a GSP/Diaz fight next. Fair play to the guy for wanting to make some money for his effort. He should do his money fight asap or fight Wonderboy.

It's the fact he expects Wonderboy to face another opponent after mowing through Ellenberger, Hendricks and MacDonald to earn his shot when Woodley didn't earn his own shot to begin with that irritates me.

I just think woodley does not call the shots....how good is nick at the WW? or GSP? ...I do not know...but, I know wonderboy is his best opponent, so, woodley is about money in his thinking.....thats cool, I can not blame him. He wants money over anything. I think woodley is dangerous,,,I always thought that...but, I feel this is a dead end...woodley will face the best competition. SO he will not get his wish...then if he loses....it will make him only look worse....wonderboy is clearly the next in line.....so it was a joke...or a smart move by TW....to get people interested in this fight....of TW vs Wonderboy

This is why you shouldn't gift non-deserving fighters a titleshot. Now it gets into their head and they think they're the boss of the division. He won't be defending that belt.

Is the sky blue? I get why Woodley wants to go after money fights, but I could given zero fucks about his personal business goals. We get it, you have 300 kids to feed, stop knocking up your old lady and fight. Champs fight the top contenders ffs (or should). Also he brings zero PPV buying power to the table.
