Is Volkanovaki the most boring champion ever?

Seriously i cant think of one noticeably interesting feature in this guys fighting style and have been watching him since before the ufc. He just throws hooks, overhands, some straights, calf kicks, and the occassional half baked double leg.

How would you even go about describing this guys fighting style if a friend asked? You cant even say that he has a standard mma style, because its even less than that.

I can describe those fighters as dudes who spam hooks, have odd timing, and move their feet a lot in a herky jerky manner. On top of that most of them have one or two unique skills or moves they add on top of that 'basic mma style'. Can you say the same about Volk?

Even his face and personality are completely inconpicuous. If i saw him in public i i would just think hes some greek dude in melbourne who runs a kebab shop.

This doesnt change the fact that hes an amazing fighter obviously.

that's the whole reason i'm not buying the hype about how technical and great he is like a lot of sherdog says. i just don't see it. majority of his best wins have come against people who were past it. i'm not even sure how he managed to fight Aldo and Mendes while not fighting any of the other current top 15.

He shut them down; most thought he'd be toast in open space against Aldo and he disproved them. They also thought he couldn't take Aldo down, which was true, but he didn't need to as he held him against the fence and won all of the exchanges there.

Do I think he fought the best versions of Aldo and Holloway? Absolutely not.

Volkanovski is an insanely skilled fighter and arguably the most well-rounded champion in the UFC.

He's the absolute best in the world at his weight at the ultimate combat sport in the world while you spend 10 minutes on your keyboard trying to put him down.... nice post!
