Why does Israel suddenly have this massive KO chance against Jan who was frequently getting away from speedy Reyes straights?

No, Jan is better than both of those meh fighters p4p, and then when you consider that he's a solid 25-30lbs bigger than both, it's a wash.

I doubt either of them would have much success moving up to fight a LHW that’s closer to a HW in actual size. Absolutely not Gas considering we’ve been critiquing his MW move as is. Vettori, it would probably depend on how he filled out, but the likeliness he can fill a frame to compete with a guy like Jan standing and still have 5 round cardio is unlikely

Man I hope Jan beats Adesanya. I want to believe

I don't know about "massive KO chance". For sure Izzy will have a massive speed advantage and is overall a much more refined striker than Jan.

No. Israel has just gotten better.... .the norm. Israel would be massive favorite today in re match with Kelvin and Vettori (bigger than the -250 he is over Jan. I really dont know what to expect in this fight .)

I'm still amazed Vettori beat Jack so handily. I was not respecting him before that fight.

Styles make fights. Gastelum's style is completely different from Vettori and Jan. Some people have no problems with some styles, some people struggle heavily with other styles.

No, but Adasanya is better today than he was in the past. He's gotten more and more comfortable in the octagon every time out.

I do think people may be short selling Jan. That is a big powerful dude who has looked excellent in his last few fights. Then again, you could have said the same think about Costa. I guess we'll know how it goes pretty soon. There will definitely be a lot of monday morning analysts yapping about how obvious the outcome always was after the fact.

If Gastelum better than Romero, Whitaker and Costa?

No? But ... didn't he do MUCH better vs Adesanya than any of them?

Oh right ... styles makes fights and Adesanya keeps getting better.

TC must have forgot.

Comparing Izzy's speed to Reyes' speed is something that federal law enforcement should arrest someone for.

FR 'Speedy Reyes Straights' sounds like a bad mixtape track.

Dom's striking isn't even that good.

So only Israel gets to improve? He was his usual not too long ago against Yoel, didn't even land a head strike.

The guys Israel caught were the ones who stood still in his range rather than moving forward or backward. People who had a better sense of distance and better discipline to stay out of range when tired, even someone like Tavares, were going the distance with him.

Come on man, this is some half-baked shit.

All of this.

Adesanya is a threat to KO anyone TS. Ask yourself who has Adesanya fought besides Romero, that he didn't hurt or wobble at least once.

It isn't about his power. It's about his ability to hit people with shots they are not expecting/can't see and/or when they are out of position. This is something that will carry over no matter what weight he's fighting.

Listen- it's easy to reference 1 recent fight ( and that's not even "recent"). You're going to have fights like those .....it happens. Hes looked more impressive than not ( that fight and AGAIN- if yoel was still here, a re match would find Israel as a significant favorite.....just further proves my point).
The middleweight division today is miserable - vettori, Kelvin & till are like top 5 guys.....laughable.
