I wouldn't stretch it as far as overrated, but IMO the UFC coddles or at least coddled him. JDS is a tested death machine. What say you?
 
The UFC really wants Mexicans to watch the UFC
 
i dont think he is. he would still be champ if there wasnt this guy called JDS
 
people forget he only has 1 loss.

He decimated Brock, Big Foot Silva, and Big Nog.

Cain is at worst a top 5 heavyweight, so no.
 
If you think so, I hope you don't mention his name when listing Junior's high quality wins.
 
Depends on who's doing the rating. I think those who think he is overall a more rounded or more effective mixed martial artist than Junior-despite their previous outing- overrate him. Other than that he's given appropriate praise for being the #2(possibly #3 depending on who you're talking to) HW in the world.
 
No it's just JDS thats the true king,but we will have to wait till 30th.

Like you said, overrated is a stretch. Maybe he has been a little more hyped than he should be. I've been one of the guys hyping him, because he just looked so good against Nog and Brock. I thought he'd beat JDS. But if you really look at what hes done its not nearly as impressive as JDS. Big Foot is his best win imo, Brock and Nog are also good. In those moments he looks unstoppable, but at other times he shows weaknesses on the feet. He isn't consistently dominant the way JDS have been.

I still have it almost even in the rematch, maybe 55-45 for JDS.

I do think JDS will win, but beating Cain so hard that he transcends 10-point round scoring is perhaps a bit strong? ;)

Big Nog is his really only great win. Beating up a rookie while he had a life threatening illness and a fighter who was coming off a brutal ko loss in a minor league organization isn't that impressive to me, granted the Lesnar fight is slightly more impressive than Bigfoot since the way Cain was able to deal with Lesnar's strength and takedowns. Cain is really good, but to me a little overrated. Was confident Junior would ko him quickly after I seen him fight Carwin.

I know a lot of fans enjoy pat Barry's personality and fight style.

I don't think I've ever seen anybody claim he's some sort of world beater.
