I think so. I've been playing EA UFC 2 since the Beta and I still think UFC 3 is better. I'm not the best player in the world at EA UFC 2, but I understand the game and usually win 3/4 of my fights online.

I had today off so just for the hell of it I fired up my 360 and dusted of UFC 3. It's been probably close to a year since I've played it last and the movement of the guys just feels better. Plus Pride mode is sweet.

Is it because I've logged over 1000 hours on this game and I'm just used to it. Or is it just a better game. EA of coarse has better graphics, a huge roster, and some slick animations; but the players feel clunky and less fluid.

I'm not going to vote. Too many factors to consider IMO.

Half of Undisputed 3 was broken.

For the offline player, without a doubt its Undisputed 3, and it's not even close. I played that game long after the servers shut down, title mode and a somewhat decent career mode added a lot of replay value. Playing the classic fights trying to recreate them or rewrite history to unlock clips was fun and challenging as well.

But the online was a joke, and they did not care. They didn't fix it, they didn't patch it, they didn't add content, it was what it was. 3 years in a row they launched with a broken online part of the game. People not getting losses for quitting, disconnects when you try to grapple, stuff like fight camps that just did not work like they were supposed to. Online is an important part of the game and it sucked.

There has been a lot to like about the last 3 major MMA games IMO.

Undisputed 3 for title mode, pride mode, sim mode.
EA UFC 1 for super smooth online play, and outstanding support after launch including major overhauls to the gameplay based on community response.
EA UFC 2 for roster, content, ultimate team, and overall really fun gameplay IMO.

Absolutely 100%. Especially when you take into account EA is making this game on a totally new system. If it was a THQ game on the ps4 for fighting it would be MILES ahead of this game.

I voted for Undisputed but there pretty much on par for me just very different.

Online was frustrating as fuck. I have a 360, but I played it online a few times at a friends house on his ps3 and I got kicked off way more. I never played ranked, because I liked sim mode and (not to toot my own horn) on the previous undisputed games I had really good records and a lot of people wouldn't play me. I actually got to number 12 on the leader boards in the first Undisputed game. So I just stuck to player matches on UFC 3. I would probably get kicked of about 1/10 games. While it was still broken It wasn't unplayable imo.

Only because THQ had 4 tries to perfect the product whereas this is only EA's second try. I voted NO....Hated Undisputed 3 online Fuckery and cheesy side knee and side hammer fist exploits...and the submission system is better on EA

THQ only made 3 MMA games. I don't know where you're getting 4 tries from. This is actually EA's 3rd attempt at an mma game. It's all subjective anyway I just prefer the feel of THQ's mma engine.

1. UFC Undisputed
2. UFC 2010
3 .UFC 3

1. EA MMA
2. EA UFC
3. EA UFC 2

One factor worth mentioning is that UFC 2009 has more vicious ground and pound then all 3 of EA's games and that was only THQ's first attempt.

Incorrect. EA MMA was done by a completely different development team. And yes that matters. EA is a huge company that operates with individual branches, I'm sure they shared some ideas, but the game was not built on anything from EA MMA. Not a single code was brought from EA MMA.

It never was.

I used to rip that game on Dreamcast and still own and play it sometimes. Fuck was it amazing when it came out although my lack of understanding how the ground and subs worked made it very hard.

I still have UFC 3 and all that it has going for it nowadays are Pride mode and title mode. Everybody is yet again letting nostalgia get the best of their memory. The gameplay simply is not as fluid as it is today. Let's not even factor in the horrible online servers it had.

I also tried EA mma*** on my PS3 again recently, and that game has aged even worse.

Nostalgia? The game is barely 4 years old:D Like I said I've been playing EA UFC 2 since the Beta and I played EA UFC 3 today for the first time in a year and I just like the way the guys move better in Undisputed. EA UFC 2 is still fun though.

UFC 2010 was my favorite.

I hate the new submission systems. I prefer mashing and spinning.

I think its a difficult question to answer with a yes/no because of the many aspects the game involves. I definitely can see where UFC 2 still dropped the ball though.

I finished Career mode today and fuck, I didn't like it one bit. And worst of all, 50k fans short of Hall of Fame status. So I didn't get Tyson. It was all for nothing.

But I won't try again. It was that bad.

It really blows my mind that people prefer the gameplay in Undisputed. It was infuriating. It always came down to who could rock their opponent three times first. There were a couple fighters who had anything unique about them. Ground and Pound was useless and extremely robotic. The roster was relatively shit. Pride mode and Title mode were the only things it did better. Oh, and Machida's got his power straight, though they at least made straights powerful enough to finish fights now.

I loved UFC 3 because of the replay value with Title mode and I liked their career mode more than EA, but I understand EA is still trying new things and it will get better.

I dislike the new EA UFC 2 career mode for how you earn stamina etc. You basically have to train on med/hard and in turn injure yourself during camp.

and on a side note, try nerfing McGregor EA, for fucks sake, it's ridiculous what he can do on the ground. He is not even close to accurate in that aspect. I have never been raped on the ground by the AI until him.

Yes!!! He's a fucking wizard on the ground. I got to the ground with him using Diaz thinking I'm about to wrap it up, then he starts grapple fucking me like Jacare on CM Punk.

UFCU3 because PRIDE Mode. Dat lighting.

Also had head stomps and soccer not exclusively as finishers.
