Mighty Mouse
TJ
Cruz
Cody
Moraes

The art of being a manlet is easy

GSP is a great striker, not goat level in striking, but a great striker.

In before people try saying GSP has average striking but looks good because of the takedown threat.

Cruz has some slick takedowns.

Cruz, the guy who TJ studied

TJ will for ever be Kobe Bryant, the guy who got all his moves from MJ (Cruz)

GOAT Greatest of all time?
It sure does not take much these days.

GSP is not a great striker, and looks good on the feet because of the takedown threat. He's between average and great, but not on the level of Wonderboy or Lima.

He got beat into semi-retirement by 69 inch reach Hendricks (which is shorter than most 145ers) because he finally fought someone who he couldn't wrestlefuck to oblivion. Where was that "legendary" jab there? Robbie then beat up Hendricks and forced him to panic wrestle. GSP would lose to a lot of top 10 Welterweights in a pure striking match.

other way around too lol GSP's striking made his takedowns that much better . always made his opponents stand square, easy to get in on their hips.

Even though I'm not a huge fan I can admit that Dillashaw is not only good everywhere but great. He is skill-wise without a doubt p4p top 3 when it comes to well roundness. The other 2 would be Jones and MM.

GSP and Woodley woud probably be 4 and 5 but I would argue that their stand up isn't to the level of the top 3.

The same could be said about TJ. And Fedor. And Cain/DC And Werdums socalled improved striking... out of the Wrestlers/grapplers, I think GSP has some of the best striking. And I am not even a fan.

TJ is probably the most wrll rounded fighter today, and he isn't just a Jack of all trades, he is also a master of some.

TJ maybe the most underrated fighter working today and even most of his detractors acknowledge that he's "really good" .

Dillishaw is a fucking great fighter, but given that most lighterweight fighters don't have a long shelf life I don't know how long he can stay at his current level.

Yup. It is real dumb to say in MMA that someone's striking is good because of the TDD threat as if that diminishes the striking in any way. Again this is MMA so every aspect of EVERYONE's game goes into how effective each component is.

This is not boxing or karate so you cannot omit the other elements and just look at the hands or striking in a bubble. Very few, if any MMA fighters outside guys like Wonderboy would be any good as pure strikers if you could remove the other elements impact.

BJ's hands and triking was good in his prime because of how effective his tdd was. Aldo's hands were good because of his tdd and leg kicks. Lawlers hands were good because of his TDD. If these guys had crap tdd and were just taken down and LNP each fight no one would talk about their striking.

If your striking in the sport of MMA is better and more effective because of your other components of MMA that IS your striking. You cannot say it would not be as good 'IF' because then basically what you are saying is it would not be as good if this was really boxing or karate or MT or a pure striking sport in which case just throw out the TS's OP and focus on guys like Wonderboy who did have top level striking outside MMA.

Cruz has some slick takedowns.

Not sure why he goes for them, since:
A. He can’t keep anyone down
B. If he could keep them down he’d just let them get back up 5 seconds later
