Is this the real reason Tony didn't take the Holloway fight?

I was saying before he ducked the fight because it was a nightmare style matchup, but now looking back I think there is a good possibility that he can't be taking punches to the head right now.

It's all starting to add up

I don't understand people saying Max is a nightmare matchup for Tony. Tony is a bigger, better version of Max on the feet and is definitely the better BJJ player. I just don't think Tony wanted to play the interim game any more.

Because Max's striking is way better and he won't get tired like all of Tony's other opponents.

Yes he rushed his comeback and also he's going through some mental things.

He's gotta fight some demons (not vampires) outside the cage it seems.

Max has much better boxing and movement.

Tony is longer and has unorthodox striking, but I wouldn't say he's better than Max on the feet.

Tony's stand up is garbage which is why he gets knocked down in every fight multiple times. He makes comebacks in fights because his opponents get tired. Max doesnt get tired and would clobber Tony's sorry ass stand up for as long as it takes.

Tony isn't small and won't get tired like most of Max's opponents.

I favour Tony in the match up. I don't care how Max has looked at 145.

You think Tony gives a shit about his brain health and that's why he didn't take the fight?

And before you say "maybe his doctor told him not to": Tony didn't even rehab his knee professionally, let alone ask doctors for their opinion on the long-term effects of head trauma. He didn't want a useless interim belt again, is the more likely answer.

Or was the pressure of recent events a catalyst?

    Pray for Tony people.

You think it's not possible that the wifey didn't force him to have himself assessed like most wifeys would considering he cares for their children?

These people are afraid of him. This ain't no knee injury kid.

    It isn't way better though.

Tony won't get tired, unlike all of Max's other opponents and will be someone well rounded that isn't a weight class smaller when you look at both of them next to each other

I think he could've beaten Max, but it would've been a war again.

Might as well wait for Khabib.
