Conor and Diaz are both ideal as UFC lightweights. Granted they are both fighting at 170lb so neither has a true size advantage at this point. Given he's the legit FW champ but is obviously a big one that that, is it fair to say this is his first equally sized opponent ?

Everyone plays the weight cut game, so who cares. Reality is that Conor should of been a 155/er all along but the path to a title was quicker at 145. If he gets past Nate, and fights RDA in a few months, he could be a two weight champ, no problem.

No, if you make the weight, you are that weight. Just like every other fighter. If you can make 145lbs, that means you are that size. Everyone cuts weight. Everyone.

No.

McGregor - 5'9", 74" reach
Nate Diaz - 6', 76" reach
Holloway - 5'11", 71" reach
Duffy - 5'10", 73" reach.

Joseph Duffy would be the first one.

Poirier is also the same size but shorter reach. Holloway is taller.

Um Nate is way bigger than Conner.

Conor looked good at his UFC debut weigh in at 145. 145 looked like the place for him. Then he began to look worse and worse and it could no longer be denied he should be at LW.

But WW, no way, he is way too small comparatively speaking.

edit; wrong thread and forums lol

His size ?
If we're gonna have a debate about difference in size when fighting - isn't the difference between McG and 'the midgets' somewhat of the same difference between Diaz and McG ?

Nate is quite a bit bigger than Conor. Nate showed him his length at the staredown and Conor didn't like it one bit.
