Is this a normal pain from kicking, or did I injure myself?

I've got this sharp pain right next to the middle of my shin bone. It turns into a dull ache, then eventually fades, but starts hurting again when I train. I dont even have to make contact with my right leg for it too hurt either, it just starts hurting. It isn't in the bone or the muscle, its just kind of the flesh next to the bone, so I'm not sure if this is normal kicking pain.

And there wasn't anything in particular where it started hurting after, like a bad kick or something. Just started hurting one day after training, and has been going on for days now. If this isn't normal, or anyone of you can identify what happened, do tell.

What you have is a good ol' case of shin splints.
I had them too, and they went away after about a month.
Just go easy on the training for a while, and after training put ice on them.

It should go away soon.
