The 6 sets in the MxS range (>6 reps) is right, but you can only group sets for the same exercise. Thus, you're not doing 6 sets of bench, you're doing 2 sets of bench, 2 sets of incline bench, 2 sets of DB bench. This probably won't get you stronger as fast as just doing 6 sets of bench.
