In boxing there's something called ring rust. Tyson fury, considered by many boxing fans to be the greatest HW ever was out of the ring for three years. When he came back he had to take a easy fight just to get over the ring rust.

Conor McGregor has been out of the cage for two years. He's not taking no easy fight to shake off his cage rust, he's going straight in with Khabib.

Respect to Conor, if he loses then it's cause of cage rust.

    Yeah, If you were injured

If you were not injured and suffer from "cage rust" you're either lazy or making excuses

Now that the cage rust jokes are out of the way, yes, it's the same as ring rust, and every sport has something similar.

Its an excuse a fighter uses when lose, or have the doubt of losing.

However if they win, ring rust doesnt exist they are unstoppable.

Example, Brazilians will always use that as an excuse because whenever a Brazilian loses, they ALWAYS have an excuse. Ring rust, hurt, the clap, they can never just admit they werent the better fighter.

    And go
