As a Frankie fan I get the bad feeling that regardless of the outcome of Aldo vs McGregor they are gonna book a rematch.

If McGregor wins it is basically guaranteed because of how long Aldo has been champ, if Aldo wins I think they have invested far too much into Conor at this point and will make an excuse why he wasn't 100% and book the rematch

Getting the feeling that even if Frankie beats Mendes he still isn't gonna get his title shot, might be time to seriously consider switching divisions, or he can pray Aldo or McGregor gets hurt before december

If Aldo wins I don't see an immediate rematch in the cards. If McGregor wins then it's pretty likely, both because of Aldo's tenure and the amount of promotion that has gone into this matchup already.

If Aldo gets KOed in like a minute there's no way he's getting an immediate rematch. If he lasts at least 2 rounds and makes McGregor look human, there will be a rematch.

If it goes to rounds and is relatively close I certainly see it.

Very likely under several scenarios.

Whatever makes the most sense ($$$$$).

Hopefully not. I can't stand another year of non-stop CM promotions and nuthuggery.

Aldo will make it very apparent that CM has a lot of work to do before he is gifted a rematch.

Aldo's next four fights:

1) McGregor
2) Frankie
3) winner of McGregor vs Mendes II
4) Da Bronx or Max Holloway

If Aldo loses, he will not get an immediate rematch. Quote me on this.

The UFC hates Aldo for a plethora of reasons, they are hoping he gets removed from that belt because then he will become a lot easier for them to deal with. Once (if) he loses it, they won't let him near it again for as long as possible.

If connor gets KO'd there will be no immediate rematch. They'll need time to build him back up. If the fight is competitive or connor wins 100% rematch.

Well if Aldo wins we wont see a rematch.

Aldo has 16 straight wins in Zuffa. He is the #1 P4P fighter in the world currently and the one of the best fighters ever. A lot of respect has been lost for Aldo. I think he deserves more. Zuffa cant deny him a rematch because "they don't like him"

I don't think the people who have followed his career have lost any respect for him. The problem is, most people who are know of him right now weren't aware of him prior to Conor McGregor.

As soon as (if) Aldo loses, McGregor will be the golden superstar, and as far as the UFC is concerned, Aldo will just become another guy trying to get in line. Fans will say they saw it coming, and that Aldo was "on the way down" for a while. And yes, the UFC absolutely can deny him an immediate rematch if they want.

I think there is a huge chance there's gonna be a rematch. There gonna flip it any other way to keep Conor relevant.

Yeah I think you are right about the UFC not being huge Aldo fans and they may deny him a rematch

But if it makes huge money and breaks records there is always the chance that makes them like Aldo again

Rightfully so. If connor KO's Aldo then he deserves to be the golden boy. Its kind of messed up that Aldo has to beat Connor to get validation - it is what is though.

Ha! They totally can, unless his contact limits them.

Havent really though about it but now that you brought it up - probably not.
