Glutamine, NOS and fish oil if I don't train at semi pro/pro levels?

Am i just throwing money away? I train 4 times a week for 40 mins a day with not a lot of cardio bar running half a mile or so to the gym and back.

Glutamine - Could go either way, some like it other don't

NOS - Don't waste your money, if you are looking to cut costs

Fish Oil - Yes you should be taking this for a plethora of reasons

Thanks for the advice. I'll just get some fish oil. What are the benefits?

Holy shit.

I applaud you for this question. That's got to be one of the least ignorant perspectives I've ever seen when asking.

*thumbs up*

I know there are some links around here but off the top of my head, it's good for your: Metabolism, joints, heart, brain, and more than likely some shit I'm forgetting. THe general concensus seems to be around 6 grams per day and look for ones that are enteric encoated so that you don't get the fish burps.

Awesome. I like this place. How can you not when I keep on hearing about the fish burps.

I am actually looking forward to them.:icon_twis

If you get the enteric ones it won't be an issue.

Fvurps? Nothing to look forward my friend. Enteric is the way to go, plus you'll get more out of your caps if you go enteric.

this may be a dumb question. but how do you know if they are "enteric"

it says so on the label

If they are, they will shout it from the roof tops to try and sell it (and justify price...although their not THAT much more)

Yes on the NOS. The whole point of NOS is to allow your body to go past its regular limits. Glutamine and fish oil both have health benefits outside of sports and will benefit you no matter how you're training. Although if you aren't training then I wouldn't even take glutamine either. Fish oil and glutamine are both touted as anti-aging supplements. I take a fat supplement that has Borage(high in GLA) fish oil and flax seed oil.
