Is there a BJJinfo site?

Judoinfo is a good site for gifs, pictures and wahtnot of basic variants of nearly all throws and so on.

Is there a equivilant for BJJ?

I have been thinking about this more and more lately. There really needs to be a prominent reference site.

If there is one, I'd like to know, too.

It'd have some big shoes to fill, JudoInfo.com is the shit.

kinda weak thou that there are no gifs for the subs

Sometimes, a million-dollar idea pokes you in the eye. And you don't really do anything about it.

I'm sure the advertising revenue alone from Bjjinfo.com/org/net would be massive.

^^ not as acceseble as judoinfo thou

are there even "regocnized" technques like in judo?

i think it is a brilliant idea and if i didn't work a full time job then i would be right on it

is this thread proof enough that I created the idea? :p

there is a bjjinfo.com

Only that it is actually some random search engine, lol

lockflow.com, ibjjf.org, bjjmap.com and graciemag.com are the closest approximates but only lockflow.com does a comprehensive technique listing.

Why doesn't someone here create one? All the sherdoggers here would be glad to help and contribute.

You can kind of approximate it with a custom Google search: works the same way as a normal google, but you specify the sites it looks at rather than just anywhere on the web. I've got one on my blog, which is limited to places like Lockflow, Aesopian's blog, Bullshido, JudoInfo etc.

Forgive my BJJ ignorance, but is there a central governing body that is reguarded as the authority on BJJ like the Kodokan is to Judo?

Seems like BJJ has less central control than Judo and that could affect wether or not there is "THE" site for BJJ. (sorry if it sounds like rambling, the vodka is hitting my brain_)

No central authority.

You have two main federations, the IBJJF and the CBJJO. IBJJF is by far the biggest but CBJJO is also quite sizeable.
