Is the Vulkan the lightest Gi?

koral ultra lite feels lighter, fwiw.

Why is that?

other than being light and looking good they dont hold up very well once sweaty and your partner is pulling at it --it becomes very baggy especially around the sleaves. the collar is too thin and you get choked easy

the pants arent great and you should buy rip stop material in the koral/atama summer light versions

i moved back to gold weaves after light kimonos

MMmm yeah since its around the same cost of the Koral Im gonna go with that and the atama #7 pants with the ripstop material in em.

agree with you 100% dido

they do look effen GOOD though!

atama ultra lite for the win! i've been using mine for bjj & judo for 7 months still looks great.

The vulkan is very light but it is not the lightest. My vulkan Gi weighs 3 pounds, 15.5 ounces. My Koral Light weighs 3 pounds, 12 ounces. The differences is all in the jacket. The weight difference in the pants was zero.
Pairing the Koral jacket up with the Amata pants is the lightest way to go. this will give you a Gi weight of 3 pounds, 9 ounces.
These are all for size A3.
