Is the ufc really going to close the year with 255 and 256 as is?

Normally there's atleast one big fight in the mix Nov or dec currently:

    255 (looks mostly done
    Figueiredo vs Perez main
    Shevchenko vs maia comain
    Robbie vs perry
    Shogun vs Craig 2
Buckley vs wright (I could see on ppv ufc hopeful lightening strikes 2x)

Prelims headed by Moreno vs royval or a shevchenko vs Lipski
    Jouban vs Gooden
    Dalby vs cosce

    Ufc 256
    Nunes vs Anderson main
    Yan vs sterling comain
    Jacare vs vettori
    4th fight
    5th fight

Even though we seeing 4 title fights 3 have astronomical odds.

WME doesn't care about quality, just cranking out as many fights as possible for that sweet ESPN money

Hopefully not. Those are not PPV caliber cards. Not to mention NYE cards are usually supposed to be loaded.

The UFC wanted more title fights but apparantly Stipe and Usman need "more time".

Yeah, feels like we haven't had a big card in a while. Even 254, which was supposed to be card of the year, is now kind of shallow. I'm hoping there's a few more solid fights that will be added to those december cards.

There will not be any NYE cards as long as the UFC has a broadcast deal with ESPN. ESPN does not want the UFC to compete for viewers with NFL and college football playoffs and bowl games. You wonder why there is a month long break between cards held in December and Jan? That's why.

Khamzat should fight on one of those cards. Interest would skyrocket tremendously

I honestly feel that Yan / Sterling will gather more eyeballs as a main.

The only fights I'm interested in there are Yan/Sterling and Perry/Lawler.

I mean you can't really blame them this year. They did a pretty good job during this pandemic actually in comparison to most sports and they're still moving divisions along and I'm assuming making money with the ESPN deal even without the crowds.

Since the ESPN deal, they’re more than happy to keep pushing out what they have been.

Maybe if Ortega is healthy he could look for a quick turn around after so long out? Volk vs Ortega before the end of the year.

But as is this this maybe their only option.

why do people care so much about where title fight are placed not all ppvs sell conor numbers. it almost like colby vs usman didnt sell well so a socalled big draw isnt the end all be all either.
