Think about it. They can observe all fighters’ training methods and build a vault of all the fighters’ best secret training methods. Then only UFC fighters have access to this. In a more Machiavellian way, they can even give hints to the fighters they want to win based on what they observe the other guy training, all without either party knowing.

They can also use the above data to matchmake in ways where they are much more certain of the outcome of a fight.

The same thing can be said for nutrition. They can gather a huge vault of data on fighter physiology. The more data they have, the more everyone has to rely on them for nutrition to be on par with everyone else. The more they have to rely on them, the more data they have. It’s like the Facebook model of fighter nutrition.

You need to remove the PI part. Yes the UFC is evil. It controls everything and they know who should win most match ups to make stars. The Institute is just another tool for the UFC to matchmake accordingly to make the SHEEP believe

One important thing you forget is that every fighter is free to use it or not. Nobody is being forced to use it and with what they are making, it's a true blessing

You can say the same thing for a lot of these social networking companies. In a sense you are not free to not use it if you need to use it to stay competitive.

that's not what the PI does

    Its almost exclusively

    1) Strength and Conditioning
    2) Diet, health etc
    3) Weight cutting assistance
    3) injury recovery

They don't do anything like striking technique, wrestling, bjj, etc. Thats not their role

They have the facility to do that there, there is a cage etc and mats, but you have to provide your own coaches.

no, its not. thats not what they do there

The PI in China is a little different. The PI china actually has a sort of MMA Academy there where they selected the top up and coming chinese fighters and they train there full time. There they have bjj coaches etc. But not at the US PI

yeh, to measure body fat, bone density and punching power...

The facilities are there, for instance a fighter can go WITH HIS COACHES, use the octagon and all the video camera shit they have their. But the PI do not do any coaching as far as striking, grappling etc go.

The staff there are s&c, injury recovery, diet and weight cutting. no coaching.
