Is the substance Machida took a steroid?

Lol, fucking DHEA? Judging by his physique I was expecting some ol' Deca or Winstrol. Most boring PED bust ever.

Come on, guys. Do a little research. DHEA is just useless. Who knows why Machida was using it.

Yes or no? What's the verdict? I'm seeing conflicting information.

If it's not a steroid and is just something they banned this year, then I don't think it matters much at all.

It's probably just piss.

Lol what analysis have you given you tool?

You can't even answer why Machida would take a banned substance if he got no benefit from it.

Being a nuthugger you have no common sense

Maybe Machida has erectile dysfunction and he uses this to treat it. Who knows?

I still think it came in piss flavor, so he could't resist.

No, and most studies say it might not even be that effective. It's BS in my opinion, if his test levels were like Conor's in out of competition testing, like 37ng/dl, I would say cancel, but I doubt that supplement even pulled him out of the normal range.

Did conor geta suspect result?

No its not,

Fairly surprised that its banned tbh, it is in a lot of natural supplements. This stuff is kinda like Tribulus....tons of false advertising behind it, no real statistics. The media and such stating *IT CAN INCREASE etc** is basically what it says on the label...its not like TRT or Steroids where **IT WILL INCREASE" with proven statistics behind the claim.

Wonder when they made it a banned substance if it was this year, would be unfortunate to here that this new downloadable banned substance was issued within the last month.

DHEA is even naturally produced by the body.

>Mfw when he took some shitty aisle 5 supplement
>finds out they were added to the updated ban list
>openly admits to fucking up
>fight is scratched
>fans react as if he'd been pumping himself with Bane venom for years.

He made a mistake. The fight is off. Move on.

Yeah just reading up and a lot of the reactions appear overblown.

Did conor geta suspect result?
Of course not. On fight night his testosterone levels were back to normal at 4.9ng/dl. Maybe Conor is just gifted and his testosterone levels shoot up to 10x the normal male's in training to enhance his recovery.

Lol. He's not a steroid cheat, he's just a PED cheat.

So what was Machida taking it for?

He could have read a few articles stating what the supposed benefits were and thought he'd give it a try

Resort to what

GNC supplements?

I know man he's suppose to be a role model too. What a shame.
You can buy oral steroids from GNC. Stupid comparison to protein and creatine as well. You can also buy strong diuretics. They are also obviously banned for serious reasons.

You're not helping Machida out with these comments.

Did he ever have a suspect result?

Serious question.

Maybe i missed it but i dont recall anything.

Source or something?

However chewing threads of grass would offer superior results to the claims of what companies that sell DHEA would offer.....just read from people who have taken it and seen absolutely no gain from it at all...
For me its more about the dishonesty. Its like "I tried to cheat but failed, so I did not cheat." Well you tried and we have reason to believe you will try again in the future.

I believe it's technically a steroid but steroid is a very broad term, you could stretch that term to say a steak is loaded with steroids because it has cholesterol. The substance Machida took is hardly an anabolic steroid (the classic "roid" if you will), and it's a less effective supplement than creatine.

Correct. The term steroid has to do with the atomic structure of a certain compound. When we talk PED´s, it´s usually about Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS). Now, doeas DHEA have anabolic properties? Some studies say yes:

Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is an anabolic steroid like dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the most potent natural androgen, and tetrahydrogestrinone (THG).

"However, despite the common knowledge that dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) is the precursor of testosterone, DHEA has been excluded from the list of anabolic steroids. We thus used the same DNA microarray technology to analyze the expression profile of practically all the 30,000 genes of the mouse genome modulated by DHEA and DHT in classical androgen-sensitive tissues. Daily subcutaneous injections of DHT (0.1mg) or DHEA (3mg) for 1 month in gonadectomized C57BL6/129 SV mice increased ventral prostate, dorsal prostate, seminal vesicle and preputial gland weight"

".....the present microarray data provide an extremely precise and unquestionable genomic signature and proof of the androgenic/anabolic activity of DHEA."

According to the most vocal idiots here, it gives you a 18 pack and the strenght of 20 exploding supernovas.
