Is the Jones level of invincibility diminished or gone?

seems like part of a first loss or multiple losses for Champs is when an opponent finally has success. roy Jones looked great until Tarver, Tyson was never same after Douglas, Jones never lost a round until Gus and possibly lost 2 rounds to him and Cormier I'd say won at least 1 round against Jones, seems like now people are having success, is the aura gone? I feel like that first loss is coming and people are becoming more confident against Jones now.

I realize technically machida took the first round vs Jones but he more or less won a competitive close round....so I'm not counting that as much as last 2 fights

no. he'll continue to hit and run right through anyone in his way and eventually when he slows and gets behind the eight-ball, he'll retire.

Rashad won round one against Jones

Bones figures you out regardless if you win a round against him.

Bad TS analogies.

Bones = GOAT

Every fighter who goes up against Jones thinks they have the answer to his style and usually are over confident until they are in the ring with him and realize how good he is. Remember Cormier said he would take down Jones 100 times if he wanted and most fans believed Cormier cause he was an accomplished wrestler. Then he got bullied around the cage. I think only now are people starting to give Jones his due and think he might be hard for anyone to beat no matter what their skill set is.

It's still there

I mean people are having success (for a round or 2) but that's about it

If anything it's stronger than ever considering everyone except Dom and has lost their belt since he became champion.

No way to tell unless we see him fight. I wouldn't call anyone invincible, that's just silly, but nobody yet has been able to prove that they're better than him in any aspect of the game. If anything, his ego will be phase 1 of his downfall if he keeps on this path.

HIs aura of being 'unbeatable' is gone, but it's been replaced by a down and dirty gritty aura. This ain't your grandfather's Jon Jones anymore.

No, because Hamill shattered that level of invincibility from the guard.

Why is it gone? What caused it to go away? Why are you typing out your ass?

I feel like it's faded a lot. Gone? No. But the aura that Jones had going for him when he was just wrecking everyone was intimidating. His absence has definitely chipped away at that aura. That's not the only thing that was winning him fights tho. So he will still be great, we will have the see just how great.

Yes TS, he lost a couple rounds to elite fighter.
He should just hasn't them up now before he ends up with brain damage.

well find out in his next fight

The best chance anybody has of beating jones is hitting him with some solid shit and putting him out. Thats why people want to see rumble fight bones.
