I won't even bother to check what teams played in that festival of irrelevance.
Texas vs USC National Championship
"festival of irelevance" is kinda harsh don't you think.
Also is not remembering the more memorable super bowls and who played in them something to really brag about?
Texas vs USC National Championship
Not really.
I'm not bragging. I have no idea who played in Super Bowl 42 and knowing who did wouldn't change anything. It's not even remotely close to the greatest sporting event in history.
Oh and try traveling outside of the US for once in your life. There's an entire world out there. It might help in your goal of becoming a "historian."
I have as well.I've travelled outside the US
It's a 18-0 team losing on the helmet catch and Eli Manning throwing 3 defenders. Yes it's needlessly harsh. SB 42 was a great contest.
Soccer doesn't have moments like that because they don't know what parity is. That's why there's a champions league because their ordinary leagues suck.
I've travelled outside the US and have a degree in history. Also this really isn't relevant and you decided to make this personal for really no reason. Others in this thread came up with alternative answers(all from the sport you're trying and failing to mock) but you didn't. What event do you consider better than SB 42?
next time say american events because world wide events just trumps all american eventsI think it might be tbh.

i am just watching top 10 and espn call it self a world wide leader in sport and i can tell you if they are top plays would be mostly internatonl and what is even more funny is alcaraz play at french open is #2 but some miningles dunk in heat game is #11950 and 1954 world cups are certainly in the discussion IMO as is 1986. Also 7-1 is iconic but I'm not sure a blowout qualifies.
But SB 42 is also in the discussion y'all haters!

same thing here sb ws nba finals are not that exiting or interesting on world wide stage
The fact that you're actually serious is hilarious.
I'm going to let you earn your degree properly and do some work on your own. My first post gave you a good hint for one place to start. Here's another one that you should cherish. Enjoy.

Jesus H. Christ. The Giants beating the Patriots is the "greatest sporting event ever." Unreal.
The lore of the 1936 Olympics has a very different connotation now (after my visit to Dacau back in February) when I learned that a concentration camp had been operating for 3 years in the city before the summer olympics and that all of the visiting countries knew it.
