Is Sonnen still as hungry as he was in 09-2012?

Not a chance. He's got a more lucrative, more stable, and safer gig doing the talking thing.

You think he makes more money from being on that dinky little FS1 show than he does making PPV points money? :icon_conf

i think he's just been after paydays since moving to 205. he folds really easily.

Of course he is. If you're not fighting to be World Champion, why are you fighting?

ask Dan Severn
there are plenty of fighters(probably well over half of MMA combatants) that know they have little chance of winning any "world" title

Yeah, what a redicilous comment. Why fight if you wont be champion he says. It's a living and something that they enjoy doing too.

Hard to stay hungry as a fighter when you've got one of the hottest wives in the entire UFC, a perfectly running pizza business, a job as an analyst, probably more than 500 k dollars in the bank account..

He's been passed his prime since 2010, that's when he turned 33, that's when you suddenly become out of your prime.

Stepping into the cage with Vitor Belfort better mean you're hungry as fuck.

I bet he was planning on retiring after a win over Wanderlei.

no, he actually had a legit chance of being champ back then. he was a very bad match up for anderson. now against guys like weidman and machinda? lol, no.
